The Cumberland Mountain State Park is very well known and there are plenty of road signs directing you to the park, which is about four miles south east of Crossville on Highway 127. Byrd lake is the perfect little spot for some family adventure of fishing, kayaking, canoeing, hiking and paddle boating.

For hiking the Byrd Lake and Pioneer Short Loop, we suggest you park near the park office and the trailhead is across the road on an ADA paved path. There is plenty of parking in the park but please do not park in the restaurant parking lot as that gets very busy at times. Start/End Coordinates: 35.90066, -84.99703
