COVID-19 INFORMATION TRAVELING TO CROSSVILLE

Each Tennessean has a personal responsibility to protect themselves and others by following health guidelines to slow the spread of this virus.

COVID-19 Illness Prevention

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
  • Avoid shaking hands, and always wash your hands after physical contact with others.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are ill.
  • Stay home when you are ill.
  • Practice good respiratory etiquette, and cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing.
  • If using a tissue, immediately throw the tissue in the garbage and wash your hands.

Guidance for Travelers

While travelers visiting Crossville and all of Cumberland County are welcomed, for the safety of local residents and hospitality industry employees they are expected to continue practicing proper hygiene and appropriate social distancing. 

Visitors should note that the state of Tennessee is in a continued state of emergency as declared by Tennessee Governor Bill Lee until the end of the year. While there are no federal, State of Tennessee or comprehensive local mask mandates, use of masks and other protective equipment in the operations of area shops, restaurants and attractions has been adopted to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

In keeping with the guidelines of the Tennessee Pledge, our businesses have revised maximum occupancy to allow for adequate spacing between parties. Visitors will quickly be able to identify which businesses follow the State’s guidelines in order to determine which ones they will patronize.

The Facts

  • Cumberland County has had 2,024 confirmed cases of COVID-19, with 275 of those being currently active cases.
  • October 30, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee issued Executive Order No. 67, superseding previous orders, and continuing a state of emergency through December 29.
